- What you are mentioning is not exactly true,
-
- PCs and their internal TV cards work differently
- than Amigas and their video output. It is not
- a one to one correlation.
-
- The different display modes the Amiga posses have
- changes in scan rates frequencies and have particular
- differences to where and how screens are updated
- and painted.
-
- Comparing a PC TV card to a Amiga is not a real good
- example. Especially when you consider that if a user
- wants to utilize such items such as a Video Toaster,
- Imagine, or Brillance. They would have a difficult
- time running on a 286. Sure there is a PC version
- of Imagine but try it on a 286. Or try to buy the "port
- able" toaster at a slight $10,000.
-
- I am not a purist either, however there is a time and a
- place for our product. It may not be on your desktop, but
- someone else here may appreciate the value of the Gecko.
-
- Cheers
